Fascinated by mixing and scratching since the age of 13, DJ Menson (a New Jersey native) began building up his DJing skills in his bedroom never knowing he would later be playing venues for hundreds to thousands of people. He listened closely to great mix-masters like Hot 97’s own Funk Master Flex, Chicago’s Bad Boy Bill, Richard “Humpty” Vision, DJ Vice, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Chuckie, Fedde Le Grand, and the late DJ AM among many others, who have given him a wide variety of styles to use in his arsenal. Before he jumped on the FM dial, Menson had been maintaining nights at Seaside's Bamboo, Spicys, Jimbos, On the Deck, Clifton's Shannon Rose, Big Shots, Windansea, The Sugar Shack, Joe Pops and Jenkinsons in Point Pleasant, Big Shots, Spicy’s, Tuscan House, Black Bear (Nyack, NY), Park East, Longshots, Chevy’s. Many different venues have given me a perspective that many don't see. On any given night, Menson can be heard mixing house, scratching hip-hop, droppin classics, rockin’ some alternative and even getting down to some Motown, Disco, and Funk. DJMenson has become an increasingly popular name in the nightlife industry and is beginning to notch away into the world of podcasts. Blending and mixing different styles of house music (vocal, progressive, dutch, etc.), the podcasts are doing big things in a short period of time.
